The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce is a 501c6 organization that is governed by a 17-member Board of Directors. Our current board members are:

Ambassadors
The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors make weekly visits (Thursdays at 10 a.m.) to local businesses. This group welcomes new businesses, owners, employees, and organizes ribbon cutting ceremonies. All Chamber members are welcome to join the “Red Jackets.”
AtlanticFest, Street Dance, Coca-Cola Days
These three committees plan and run each event. The group will start meeting in January, and they will wrap-up in late August. Volunteers are always welcome!
Priority Atlantic
The Priority Atlantic mission statement is: “To recognize the needs of the community, then work to bring businesses that would meet those needs into Atlantic.” This group meets at 8 a.m. every other Tuesday at the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce.
SPEC
Our Special Promotions and Events Committee (SPEC) plans the great community events that are sponsored through the Community Promotion Package. The Community Promotion Package is a group of 80 area businesses that financially support six major events: Atlantic…A Great Place to Put Down Roots, Customer Appreciation Days, Crazy Daze, Harvest Fest, Grand Lighting, and all of the events during Christmas in Atlantic. This group meets at 7:30 a.m. every other Tuesday at the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce.
Image Builders
Building Atlantic’s image–both at home and afar–is the main concern of our Image Builders committee. This group tackles the hot issues in town, and they also award Community Improvement Awards to businesses and individuals who have improved Atlantic by their work. Vision 2020 Taskforce
New for 2008! In conjunction with CADCO, the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce will be establishing a Vision 2020 Taskforce during 2008. This group will serve as the watchdog on all of Vision 2020’s goals.
Young Professionals of Atlantic
New for 2008! This group will serve as a think-tank and social group to help promote Atlantic as a great place for young professionals to start their careers.
