Playgrounds would be any play areas with swings, slides, park toys, or climbing structures for children to play on. We are fortunate to have plenty of playground areas within Atlantic Parks and we are continuing to update and inspect all our equipment regularly.
Parks with Playgrounds
Cedar Park was developed July 19th, 1976 jointly by the Lions Club and the Atlantic Parks and Recreation. It’s a community park with a wonderful playground system, swings, sand box. It is a perfect place for kids and there family to play. It is just a few blocks away from downtown.
The end of Bull Creek Pathway is Harl-Holt Park. A small park with playground area, shelter, basketball court, and green space great for a family to enjoy a nice little picnic before or after a bike ride.
Little League Sports Complex
Little League Sports Complex sits just North of the town on Olive Street. It just put in a new playground system in its facility. It is a perfect place for kids to play while their siblings are playing baseball or softball.
Mollett Park is nestled and tucked away at the end of 3rd street plaza. It is a very open park with a nice playground area, perfect place for a picnic.
Nishna Park is down the hill from the Atlantic High School Track. It has a huge green space, with a small playground, and 2 swing sets. Tucked away behind a friendly neighborhood, it’s only a few strides away from the high school.
Pellet Park is located just off of 18th and Chestnut street and has a wonderful new playground area with a large green space to take the kids and let them play!
Sunnyside park has 3 different playground areas. One is at Camblin’s addition consisting of a play system, swings, slides, and monkey bars. Kiwanis Kiddie Korral located in the heart of the park, has a wonderful play system, slides, swings, sand box, and swing toys. Lastly by the Sunnyside Swimming Pool, there is a play area with swings, jungle gym, and merry go round.
