From Thanksgiving to New Years Atlantic is Iowa's City of Lights!
Be dazzled by more than 190,000 LED lights in a stretch of 6 blocks of historic buildings filled with gift shops, boutiques and local eateries.
Saturdays, enjoy free horse-drawn carriage rides courtesy of the Leonard Family businesses, First Whitney Bank and Wells Fargo. After, be sure you visit Santa Claus in the Atlantic Rotary historic log cabin in City Park for hot cocoa and a warm fireplace.
On the first Saturday of December, rally your troops and create a lighted float for the annual Lighted Christmas parade brought to you by the Atlantic Area Chamber and Wal-Mart. Prizes are awarded, and bragging rights travel along with the two-foot trophy!
Don't forget to bring a friend to the free holiday concert on the second Saturday in December, sponsored by Aunt B's, Bonnesen's 5 & 10, J&R Tax Service, and Unique Salon & Spa. During the concert we recognize two individuals as the Stifel Nicolaus "Angels of Christmas," a tradition of true Christmas spirit.
