New LED Lights Make a Bright Debut!
On November 19, 2009 we unveiled our new, beautiful LED lights in downtown Atlantic. We hope that everyone loves them as much as we do.
Why did we choose LED?
Initially, the cost was higher, but over a few years the cost of switching to LED lights will be recouped with savings in electricity, light replacement, and annual installation. With 100% conversion to LED lights, we'd see a savings of $13,000 to $15,000 annually for just the electricity!
- LED lights use 80 to 90% less electricity than traditional lights.
- LED lights last 100,000 hours or more.
- Injection-molded LED lights and rubber cable provides excellent weather-proofing.
- LED lights are brighter, and commercial grade (what we have) can be left up year-round.
What about City Park?
