Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Kelsey Beschorner as Executive Director

ATLANTIC, IOWA — The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Kelsey Beschorner to Executive Director. Beschorner has served as the Chamber’s Program Director since March 2020 and has played a central role in shaping the Chamber’s signature events and strengthening connections across the community during her time with the Chamber.

“Energetic, outgoing, and engaging, Kelsey brings a contagious enthusiasm to everything she does,” said Anne Quist of First Whitney Bank and Chamber Board President. “Her creativity and leadership have breathed new life into many of Atlantic’s long-standing traditions.”

Kelsey has been instrumental in coordinating volunteers, managing event logistics, and overseeing much of the Chamber’s marketing and media outreach. Under her guidance, the Chamber has strengthened its presence through expanded media and increased social media engagement and visibility. With a genuine passion for people and community, she approaches every project with fresh ideas and a collaborative spirit, keeping the Chamber at the heart of Atlantic’s growth and vitality.

“We’re thrilled that Kelsey has agreed to step into this important role,” added Tim Cappel of Cappel’s Ace Hardware and Immediate Past Chamber President. “We have every confidence she will continue to strengthen the Chamber’s mission and build on the strong foundation that makes Atlantic such a special place to live and work.”

With a background in Therapeutic Recreation and Gerontology, Kelsey earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State University. She understands the value of meaningful connections, a philosophy that guides her approach to leadership and community building. “Since moving to Atlantic in 2012, I’ve truly fallen in love with Cass County,” Beschorner said. “It’s a privilege to serve in this role and to help share the Chamber’s story — while also showing the world that this really is the best place to live, work, and play.”

A proud Council Bluffs native, Kelsey traded city lights for small-town charm the first chance she got, and she hasn’t looked back since. When she’s not dreaming up the Chamber’s next big thing, she can be found out on the farm with her husband, Adam, and their pack of happy pups.

As the Chamber begins this new chapter, the Board will take time to thoughtfully evaluate future staffing needs and opportunities for additional support. In the meantime, the volunteer Board of Directors is stepping up to work closely with Kelsey, providing hands-on support and ensuring the Chamber’s programs, partnerships, and events continue without interruption. Together, they remain focused on strengthening local businesses and celebrating all that makes Atlantic such a vibrant community.
