The Chamber partnered with Emerge Marketing Solutions, a fellow Chamber member, to bring this project to life. Emerge specializes in helping communities and organizations amplify their impact through storytelling, digital strategy, and innovative design.

“When we began rethinking the content strategy and flow of the Atlantic Area Chamber website, our goal was to put the end-user experience first. By simplifying navigation and bringing stories and resources to life, we were able to deliver a product that truly reflects the vibrant energy of the Chamber and the community it serves. We love partnering with local chambers to enhance their visibility, showcase their impact, and create digital spaces that empower both residents and businesses.” – Shelly Greving, Owner, Emerge Marketing Solutions

Their expertise ensured the new Atlantic Area Chamber website not only reflects the Chamber’s mission but also enhances the user experience for members and the broader community.

“A community’s online presence makes a powerful first impression, and this updated website truly reflects the energy and opportunities in Atlantic,” said board member Melissa Ihnen, of Meyer & Gross Real Estate Company, “With tools like the housing page and business resources, it not only supports our current residents but also helps attract new families to our community.”

Atlantic Area Chamber Ambassadors Learn About Community 4 Kids Adventure Passes

The Atlantic Area Chamber Ambassadors hosted Community 4 Kids on Thursday, June 5th at the Rock Island Depot. The Ambassadors were in attendance to learn more information about the new program called Adventure Passes, put on by Community 4 Kids.

These passes are sponsored by community businesses: Movie House, Sunnyside Pool, Sunnyside Range, and the Nishna Valley Family YMCA. Anyone who gets these passes will be receiving benefits to these businesses, like free entry to the pool (for a certain number of people). They are free of charge and available for check out at the library. Anyone that wishes to check out these passes must have a valid library card and be 18 years or older. There will be a board posted in the library with the current available passes; as they at a first come, first serve basis. You are only allowed to keep the pass for seven days and can only use it once in those seven days. Each Adventure Pass has a description on the back that tells you the benefits you get from using the pass and how many people can get in using it. You can only check out a pass for the Range and the pool once a year because they are seasonal businesses.

These Adventure Passes will be a great addition to the community because it provides the people of Atlantic (and surrounding communities) with new things to do. The list of activities, and places to visit, is very extensive and lays out fun things that you may not have known existed in the area.

Atlantic Area Chamber Ambassadors Welcome House of Colour

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the Atlantic Area Chamber Ambassadors gathered at the Rock Island Depot to learn about the new chamber member House of Colour: Avoca.

House of Colour is a salon for anyone who wants to become more confident in their style and bodies. They offer personal styling to help you dress best for your body type and feel more comfortable in your clothes. What they are most known for is their color analysis service. This is a 1 ½ to 2-hour appointment that helps each client determine what color palette and hues work best with their skin tone and overall appearance. The color palettes are split into four seasons: autumn, spring, winter and summer. Each season has different shades that feature each color and shade that work for you, making you feel and look the best in your clothes.

House of Colour was originally started in the UK about 35 years ago and came to the United State 16 years ago. They have locations all around the United States including Omaha, Des Moines, and now Avoca. Having a store like this in Southwest Iowa brings a little part of the city to our small towns.
