Meet The Staff

The Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce is rewriting the story of what a Chamber can be. Youthful. Vibrant. Full of Momentum.

Kelsey Beschorner

Executive Director

Kelsey has been with the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce since March 2020, and she’s the spark behind so many of the events and connections that keep Atlantic thriving. From Atlanticfest to Christmas in Atlantic, and from Ambassadors to Atlantic Rising, she brings fresh energy and big ideas to every project. With a background in Therapeutic Recreation and Gerontology, Kelsey knows the power of meaningful connections, and she puts that passion into action every single day.

A proud Council Bluffs native, Kelsey traded city lights for small-town charm the first chance she got, and she hasn’t looked back since. She’ll tell you herself: Atlantic is a hidden gem worth shouting about, and she’s on a mission to make sure everyone else knows it too. When she’s not dreaming up the Chamber’s next big thing, you can usually find her out on the farm with her husband Adam and their pack of happy pups.

Committees

Want to make a difference in Atlantic? Join one of our committees to help plan events, organize fundraisers,
and bring our community together through festivals, outings, and more.

Nine & Wine

The Nine & Wine committee plans and organizes this much anticipated annual evening of golf, appetizers, and you guessed it -- wine. They meet the first Friday of the month, March through June at noon at the Chamber.

AtlanticFest

AtlanticFest is our largest community festival, held annually in August. This committee takes on the exciting task of coordinating entertainment, car show, motorcycle show, bag tournament, vendors, crafters, and much more. They meet on the fourth Wednesday, March through August at noon at the Chamber.

Smackdown After Dark

Smackdown After Dark is an evening concert series in conjunction with Atlantic’s All-Class Reunion. The third weekend in August, Sunnyside Park is filled with live music, food vendors, a beer garden, and friends from near and far celebrating why Atlantic will always be home.

Coke Days

This committee plans events during Atlantic’s Coca-Cola Days, held annually the fourth weekend of September. Events include a Tailgate Party and the Iowa Chapter of Coca-Cola Collector’s Show, Swap and Sell Meet. They meet on the third Friday, March through October at noon.

Shop Local/Retail Promotions

The Shop Local campaign helps to encourage shoppers to spend their dollars throughout the community in-an-effort to grow local businesses. Strategizing and coordinating efforts for local retailers to participate in to draw people to shop Atlantic’s retail spaces is the goal of this committee.
